Russian-speaking migrants are not the largest group in Brazil, but they occupy a prominent place in the host society. There have been several waves of Russian-speaking immigration to Brazil in the history of Brazil, and in 2022-2023, after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the number of immigrants from the former Soviet Union countries of different ethnic groups but speaking Russian increased. Th e adaptation and integration of Russian speaking immigrants in the multicultural Brazilian society is generally successful, but has specifics depending on the time of immigration, socio-demographic composition and regions of residence. Integration of Russian-speaking immigrants faces some difficulties and barriers in Brazil.
