Abstract

The braiding of the caroá net in the Quilombo São João do Jatobazinho expresses the crossroads of memory with the biointeraction to be shared in this confluence. We sought to identify the intersections between identities and territories in the braiding that confirms the re-existence of quilombolas through the ancestral organic technology of the net. The methodology applied was organic, involving involvement with the territory, showing films, discussion circles and interviews with the grandparent generation of the quilombo, photography and camera handling workshops, as well as a film about the community.
