This research aims to review the historical and epistemological trajectory of Human Ecology, beginning with its conceptual formulation as a feminine legacy, moving through its expansion within the Chicago School, and culminating in its academic consolidation in Brazil. To this end, a bibliographic review of historical and contemporary works in this field of study was conducted to support the discussions. The results suggest that this science/paradigm has been developing its own identity in Brazil, one that transcends the classical perspective by integrating personal, social, environmental, and eco-spiritual dimensions.
